Dr. Alishia Kalos (pronouns: she/her/hers) serves as a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed psychologist who specializes in addressing individual, relational, and sexual concerns related to anxiety, intimacy, communication, sexual functioning (e.g., desire/arousal/interest, erection or orgasm concerns, sexual pain), healing after infidelity, kink, “atypical” sexual interests, ethical non-monogamy, LGBTQIA+ identity, postpartum concerns, separation, divorce, or mindful uncoupling, relational violence, and sexual behavior challenges. Dr. Kalos has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness–Based, Strengths-Based and Intersystems approaches to therapy. She also has experience utilizing Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has devoted much of her research and clinical career to advocacy for Spanish-speaking and other underserved ethnic, gender and sexual identity populations.
